About
A printed source book that became a marketplace.
EdMarkt is the independent platform behind three school-vendor directories. It exists so a certified supplier can be found by the people who actually buy for public schools — without pretending to be the district.

Since 2011
Chicago first. Then the rest of the map.
The CPS Vendor Source Book has been distributed since 2011 as a niche directory for vendors targeting the Chicago Public Schools market. In 2026, EdMarkt opened as the umbrella marketplace — adding Miami (M-DVSB) and Las Vegas (CCSD Vendor Source Book) under the same editorial standard. Those two books are in production now; listings are available.
Publisher Herson M. Astorga Jr. built the Chicago book as a practical tool: get discovered, build the brand, be a vendor of choice. EdMarkt is that tool at market scale.
Independence, on purpose
School districts run official procurement. EdMarkt does not. These directories are private publications. They help vendors get in front of purchasers; they are not a substitute for a district’s vendor onboarding, bids, or contracts.
